How to report a lost or stolen card

In the event that you have lost or have had your debit card stolen, immediately contact BHCCU to cancel your card.

Within Business Hours

If you want to report your stolen or lost debit card during business hours, call:

You can use the BHCCU app or internet banking services to cancel your card promptly.

1. Login to Internet Banking and select Services.

2. Go to Card Management. 

3. Select Lost or Stolen and follow the prompts.

Reporting a lost or stolen card initiates a rapid response from BHCCU, ensuring the prompt blocking of your card to prevent unauthorised transactions. By taking quick action, you contribute significantly to minimising any potential risks and protecting the assets of your financial accounts.

How to temporarily block your lost debit card

If you believe your card has been temporarily misplaced, you can put a temporary block on it until you’ve found it. To do so, please contact BHCCU during business hours on (08) 8088 2199 or after hours on 1800 648 02. To unblock your card, you will have to contact BHCCU and answer some security questions to reactivate it.

Fraudulent activity 

If you have noticed fraudulent activity on your card or believe you may have been scammed, please contact BHCCU and follow the instructions on our scams & fraud page for support on what to do next. 

Next steps 

Once you let our team know about your lost or stolen card, they'll quickly cancel and order you a new one. You can expect the replacement card to reach you within 5-10 business days. We aim to make sure you're back in control of your finances without any hassle.

Can I get money from an ATM if my card is locked?

No, once your card is locked, ATM transactions will be declined. It's crucial to wait for the replacement card or contact BHCCU for alternative solutions. You can still use internet banking or withdraw from in-branch while you wait for your replacement card.
