New branding for Credit Union
The symbol for BHCCU was derived from the Sturt’s Desert Pea. It is a unique stylized aerial view of the plant represented symmetrically and interconnected to emphasise community. Sturt's desert pea is a uniquely Australian plant species famous for its distinctive blood-red leaf-like flowers. It is one of Australia's best known wildflowers.
It is native to the arid regions of central and north-western Australia. The name honours Charles Sturt, who recorded seeing large quantities of the flowers while exploring central Australia in 1844. Sturt's Desert Pea represents beauty and strength in a harsh land.
