The Broken Hill Community Credit Union is a valued Platinum supporter of Cufa who help fight poverty in poor communities in the Asia Pacific region. Cufa provides communities with access to affordable financial services, which gives them somewhere safe to save their money and borrow. Giving communities the knowledge, skills and resources in how to manage their money is integral in helping them break out of poverty and Broken Hill Community Credit Union are pleased to be part of that through their support of Cufa.
Broken Hill Community Credit Union staff group are proud sponsors of a number of villagers in Cambodia through Cufa’s Village Entrepreneur program. This initiative helps people break out of poverty by helping them start up and/or grow a micro business. These businesses range from a small pig or chicken farm to a roadside kiosk selling small goods or a bicycle repairer that in turn benefit not just their families but the entire community.
